FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

When are your worship services?
We have worship services every Sunday morning at 10:00 a.m. and Life Groups on Sunday afternoons/evening depending on the group.
What should I wear?
1 Samuel 16:7 reminds us that “God sees not as man sees, for man looks at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart.” Wear dressy or casual clothes or anything in between, everyone is welcome!
What is a worship service like at Fellowship?
Our worship begins with a time celebration in music; it is followed with greetings, announcements, and a time of fellowship. We then move into our time in God’s Word where we are challenged, encouraged, and sometimes convicted. At the close we have a time of confession and repentance during our final singing.
Once a month we observe the ordinance of communion.
On a less frequent but regular basis, we also include such things as baptisms, dedications of children, missions updates, and celebrations of various ministries.
Authentic, God-honoring worship has nothing to do with our stylistic preferences; it is, rather, an attitude and posture of the heart. In the course of any given month here at Fellowship, you are likely to experience contemporary praise music, traditional hymns, and video.
How do I get to the church?
Fellowship Baptist Church is located on Highway 67 South just outside of Portland. We are directly across from WPGW radio and next to Jay County High School. For directions please visit our Map & Directions.
Do you have Sunday school?
We have Sunday school every Sunday morning starting at 9:00 a.m. We have nursery for infants, and classes for everyone from preschool through adults.
Where do I take my children?
Newborns and 1-year-old children may be taken to our nursery, close to our worship center. The 2- and 3-year-old children may be taken to the 2-3 year old nursery in room 104. Kingdom Kids is available for the 4-year-old through 6th grade in the gym.
Do you have something for middle and high school students?
Yes! We consider it a privilege to partner with and support parents in ministering to their students. Our Student Ministries go from 7th–12th grade and meet regularly for Sunday school and for a teen Sunday night service, as well as having numerous activities throughout the year. Please visit the Teen Ministries page for additional information.
